Drawing on our vast project reference lists for the steel/foundry & lime/cement industries, we have completed projects related to the Mining & Minerals sector. These projects include coal handling and dust suppression, unique kiln installations, environmental equipment installations, and the turn-key installation of a propant drying & sizing production facility. We have provided design, fabrication, and material supply services as well as construction services to the Mining & Minerals Industry.
Frack Sand - Dry Processing Plant & Distribution Terminals; Corpus Christi, Texas

  • Client: Northern White Sands

  • Description: New frack sand processing plant built over four phases and two distribution terminals.

  • Project: IIC installed a new frack sand processing plant over four phases. The initial phase comprised the gas fired dryer, dust collection system, screening equipment, and initial storage facilities. The second phase included a barge unloading system. Phases III & IV added storage capacity. In addition, two distribution terminals were built in strategic areas with regards to the end users. The construction disciplines that IIC provided for this project included; material demolition, civil/foundation installation, steel supply & erection, crane support, mechanical equipment installation, piping construction, insulation, and electrical construction.

New Quarry Construction; Camak, Georgia

  • Client: Turn-Key Processing Solutions, INC. (TPS)

  • Description: New quarry construction for processing of mining materials

  • Project: IIC installed a new quarry processing system for TPS in Camak, GA. The project included engineering, foundation construction, steel erection, equipment installation, and all piping construction necessary to complete the project. The equipment involved with the project included crushers, screens, belt conveyors, and storage silos for the material.

Quarry Crusher Rebuild; Austin, TX

  • Client: Centex Materials

  • Description: Limeston crusher rebuild

  • Project: IIC field fabricated replacement components and rebuilt a limestone crusher in place. Equipment drawings were not available so re-engineering had to be accomplished from the field. Wear resistant materials were used which added to the complexity of the field fabrication work. The construction disciplines provided for this project included steel component field fabrication and field erection.
